I have returned from my annual pilgrimage back to Japan to learn new therapies, visit family and friends and enjoy the beauty of my homeland. And, I am a very lucky woman because this year I get to enjoy two springs! In many places throughout the country Japan is slightly ahead of us in weather so I got to enjoy spring in Tokyo and I also get to enjoy it again here in PEI. While in Japan I was privileged to be there for “Ohanami” or cherry blossom season. It’s the most beautiful time of the year in Japan and the beauty of nature is projected in a dazzling display of bright pink and white cherry blossoms everywhere throughout the city! It’s a beautiful and unforgettable sight to behold. And now, upon my return to PEI, I get to enjoy the return of the song birds, the blooming of the colourful flowers and the beautiful pastel sunrises and sunsets!

Have a great spring and remember to get outside as much as possible to enjoy the gentle beauty of springtime across the Island! There is nothing healthier you can do for your mind and body!

Spring Haiku

Here is a spring haiku from Japan:

tiny white petals
gently falling from the trees
snow drifts in the spring
