What is Reiki?

Reiki is a “healing and self-development technique”. It is a technique to activate and harmonize mind and body by using universal life-force energy.

Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan in the end of 19th century. Various health care methods were flourishing in pre-war Japan and “hands-on healing (touch therapy)” was the most popular technique among them all.

It is a deeply relaxing therapy that aims to bring balance and healing to the person as a whole. It heals by working on physical, mental and emotional levels. Reiki helps to remove energy blockages and encourages energy to flow freely. When energy flows freely throughout the body it creates a state of vitality and well-being. Our energy channels may become blocked and unbalanced when we experience stress, tension, inner conflict and turmoil. These blockages may manifest themselves as diseases and disorders such as headaches, digestive problems, anxiety etc. Reiki may help to promote well-being by restoring balance and harmony and helping one to find a sense of inner peace. Some people find that Reiki helps them bring about positive changes to their lives and how they feel about themselves.

10 Features of Reiki

  1. Reiki requires no training or practice. Once a “Reiki attunement” is received, anyone can receive “Reiki” energy and send energy to oneself and other people, or even to animals and plants. Attunement is “to open up a Reiki channel to tune into the energy of the universe.”
  2. You will not lose the power you have obained even when you fail to train or practice. Neither will your power level decrease.
  3. Reiki doesn’t require hard concentration during its healing session.
  4. You don’t need to put in or out “ki (energy)”. (the body practices automatic adjustment.)
  5. You don’t receive “jaki (negative energy)” from Reiki technique.
  6. You can enjoy tangible benefits from Reiki and it is applicable in various matters (personal development, realization of desire, etc).
  7. Distant healing sessions are available beyond time and space (second degree and up).
  8. Reiki combines well with other techniques (chi kung, other healing techniques, meditation, etc.)
  9. Reiki requires no belief. Energy simply flows as necessary.
  10. Reiki will improve the beautiful nature which you already have inside of you.

Levels of Reiki

There are 3 Levels for learning Reiki:

First Degree – learn to treat yourself and others through opening Reiki channels and learning to practice the techniques.

Second Degree – learn the sacred symbols used in Reiki for enhancing the Reiki power and extending the use of Reiki.

Third Degree – learn to reach a higher level of vibration of consciousness and become more creative. Increase the effectiveness of your Reiki.

I started to learn Reiki in 2005 in Japan and received the Teacher’s Degree in 2008. I’ve had experience teaching Reiki more than 50 times.

Now there are various styles of Reiki around the world but the Reiki style I learned and am practicing and teaching is the authentic, original style that Dr.Usui did.

I am not a psychic person. Anyone can be Reiki healer if you receive Reiki attunement. It is an easy technique and doesn’t tire you out. The more you use it, the more you’ll be healed mentally and physically.

I’ll be very happy if I could help more people to know about Reiki and using the amazing method, then more people will be healthier and happier.
