Spring is a time for house cleaning. This week I began cleaning my house but I found that the chemical cleansers I was using were too strong and nauseating (even though the smell was supposed to imitate flowers or fruit it was still noxious for me). So I decided to use natural ingredients and make my own cleansers for my spring cleaning around my house. The aroma from nature brings you positive feelings. I made some new cleaning mixtures this week that I made myself using natural ingredients and they worked wonderfully and were a pleasure to use!

Here are some tips for cleaning using aromatherapy:

  • Diffuser – cleaning air.
  • Vacuuming – put some drops of essential oil in vacuum bag.
  • Laundry – put some drops of essential oil in washing machine
  • Carpet cleaning – mix 1 cup of baking soda and 10 drops of essential oil and sprinkle it on carpet. Wait for 15 min then vacuum.
  • Wiping – put some drops of essential oil in a bucket of water for wiping floor.
  • Cleaning bath tub – mix 1 cup of baking soda and 10 drops of essential oil and use it for scrubbing bath tub.

Most of essential oils are disinfectants so you can use your favorite essential oils. But I especially recommend these oils for cleaning: Peppermint, Tea tree, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange.

And below I will introduce a great natural cleaning product that I use …
